How To Avoid Pain Caused Due To High Heels
Nothing can be more sexy than a good-looking pair of stilettos to compliment that perfect outfit. However, while you turn on the style, you may find yourself struggling for comfort. Heels aren’t the best things to wear- as good as they look- and can be quite uncomfortable. Here we tell you the easy way to put on these great accessories and concurrently avoid any pain that may accompany it.
Perhaps, you’ve noticed that certain women seem to wear their heels without any clear sign of being in pain. This is as they’ve found the secret to wearing such shoes in the correct way. High heel pain can be dodged if they are worn in the right demeanour. Start by checking the scale of your shoe. Most women experience agony because they have an ill fitting pair. So make sure that your shoes are not too tight.
Another thing you must test for is the height of the heel. You are bound to cope with pain if you’re wearing strangely high heels. Pros advocate 3 to four inches as the ideal height of the heel. But in case you wish to wear higher heels, ensure that you are not wearing them for long. A good way of checking what height is suited to you is by trying different heels and walking in them for at least five minutes.
Another simple way to determine the right height of heel for yourself is to rise on your toes. For this, all you need to do is to stand erect against a wall and then attempt and rise on you toes. Try to rise to the maximum level away from the ground. The distance to which you manage to rise away from the ground is the height of the heel you can manage. This is actually the ideal height of the heel for you. Do not make the error of going in for heels which are larger in height than the measured height.
However, you may not be able to avoid high heel pain altogether every time. There could be certain situations where you can just have to strain your toes. In such circumstances you can try and alleviate the pain by stretching your calf muscles. Otherwise, you can lie down on the bed, stretch your toes and hold them for a count of five. Then bring them back to your normal position. This will also help in stretching out the calf muscles.
If the pain continues to persist, try soaking your feet in water for sometime. All you need to do is to put some hot water in a bucket and soak your feet for a period of time in this water. The hot water will reduce out the pain, which you are experiencing and thus will offer great relief to you. Do make sure that the water that you use is not boiling hot or else you might burn your skin in the process.
Flaunt those heels but with a little bit of care and caution and you are bound to keep the agony away.
