Fruits and vegetable can fight disease and are of course a great way to get more fiber into your diet. Even though Mom said we should, are we actually eating our fruits and veggies?
Not if you’re like most of us, you didn’t. Look around you. We’re all sitting on vats of grease. We go out for lunch and we literally pour saturated fat down our throats in the form of burgers and fries. We polish that off and suck down a yummy chocolate milkshake. We can make up excuses all day long, but the fact remains that we know we should eat more produce. Either fresh produce is too expensive for us, or we don’t have time to prepare it before work, or it always spoils before we have time to use it. Others will simply concoct excuses such as, “As soon as I go to eat that peach (or banana or zucchini) it has gone bad.”
